Arundel Community Trails

Arundel Community Trails, our flagship property, connects the new Town Hall property on Limerick Road to the Eastern Trail. There is a multi-use trail open year round and mountain biking flow trail open seasonally for enjoyment.  In 2022 we completed clearing and building bridges for a trail that loops around, which allows walkers/bikers/hikes to access a new section of land! This is a multi-use trail. Maps will be updated and posted when available but these trails are open to the public as of Fall 2022.

Interested in volunteering with the trail builders? Please email us at info@arundeltrust.org.

Parking is conveniently located at the new Arundel Town Hall (with public restrooms) at 257 Limerick Road and you can also access the trail from the Eastern Trail about a ¼ mile past the Kennebunk River Bridge on the Arundel side, or mile marker 26 3/4.

Hunting: Hikers and bikers should always use caution during hunting season. Please remember to wear blaze orange.

TRAIL STATUS:

YELLOW Multi-use hiking trail: OPEN

RIDE UM EASY FLOW TRAIL: OPEN

Parking is also available at the Eastern Trail entrance on Limerick Road.

Welch Woods, on River Road about a ½ mile beyond Durrell’s Bridge towards Kennebunkport, is an easy ½ mile loop through woods and ferns to the shore of the Kennebunk River. At the river you can sit for a while and enjoy the river from two benches and couple log stools. There is a small parking area for a few cars just off the road by our ACT trail sign. Please collect and bring all trash back with you as we strive for the "leave no trace" mentality.

Access our Trail Map here.

Welch Woods Trail Head Parking on Google Maps.

Hunting: Hikers and bikers should always use caution during hunting season. Please remember to wear blaze orange.  Hunting is not permitted by state law on this property due to the proximity to homes.
